Investigative Intelligence Specialist
Chris Tripi is a licensed private investigator and investigative intelligence specialist with more than 14 years of investigative experience and a multidisciplinary background spanning investigative analysis, information systems, computer science, and engineering. His work focuses on complex identity resolution, open-source intelligence (OSINT), digital footprint reconstruction, attribution analysis, and investigative research involving incomplete, conflicting, or intentionally obscured information.
He specializes in helping attorneys, businesses, insurance professionals, and private clients address challenging information problems by identifying relevant signals, correlating disparate data sources, evaluating source reliability, and developing actionable intelligence that supports informed decision-making.
Chris’s investigative approach combines traditional investigative methods with advanced analytical techniques, digital research, relationship analysis, and open-source intelligence collection. His work is particularly valuable in matters involving difficult identity questions, hidden affiliations, reputational concerns, fraud indicators, due diligence inquiries, litigation support, and difficult-to-locate subjects.
Prior to founding Tripi Detective Agency, Chris worked in aeronautical engineering, computer consulting, and information systems, providing him with a unique blend of technical, analytical, and investigative expertise. He has more than 18 years of experience as a computer consultant and six years of experience in aeronautical engineering, experience that continues to inform his investigative and analytical approach.
Chris holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from Pace University, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from SUNY Old Westbury, and an Associate of Applied Science in Aeronautical Engineering Design from the Academy of Aeronautics.
Chris is a licensed New York State Private Investigator, Investigative Intelligence Specialist, commissioned Notary Public, and FAA Certified Remote Pilot (sUAS).
